2025 Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD School Funding Referendum.
Developed with the input of parents & taxpayers.

“Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD has always taken a community-driven approach to developing programs and initiatives that help our schools, students, and educators. As part of this transparent process, we also want you to know how we manage your tax dollars.

On August 11th, the HEB ISD Board of Trustees placed a School Funding Referendum on the November ballot. Also known as a Voter-Approval Tax Ratification Election (VATRE), this often-used funding option was authorized by the Texas Legislature to provide voters with the additional opportunity to fund schools in a manner that meets the expectations of their community.

If approved by voters, the School Funding Referendum would provide the funds to improve teachers’ salaries and maintain and/or expand academic, job training, and safety programs in the district, among other things. More than 600 school districts in Texas, including the majority of districts in our region, have already passed such a referendum.

Please take a moment to review the facts about the School Funding Referendum on this website so you can make an informed decision at the ballot box.

We strive to be open and transparent. If you have any questions, please contact HEB ISD at budgetwise@hebisd.edu. See you at the polls in November!”
